THE PENSION BOARD OF THE JEFFERSON-COMO FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT The Pension Board of the Jefferson-Como Fire Protection District is composed of the Board of Directors of JCFPD and two of the fire district volunteers. The Pension Board is specifically responsible for overseeing the pension finances of The District. The current Board has the following members:
Jim Linn, President Jim joined JCFPD in 1996 and serves JCFPD as a volunteer Captain. He is Vice President of the Board of Directors of JCFPD. He is one of the managers of the Road and Bridge Department for Park County. Jim is a resident of Indian Mountain. Charles (Chuck) Curtis, 1st. Vice President Chuck has served on The Board for a number of years and is second only to Doc as the Board's senior member. Chuck is a retired John Deere senior advanced designer. During his career with John Deere Chuck designed combines. He also worked in the testing lab where the new designs were tested. Costs and budgeting were a part of his area of responsibility as was the supervision of several other employees. After retiring from Deere and moving to Colorado from Illinois, Chuck spent several years involved in various areas of construction. The knowledge and skills of Chuck's past experience make him a valuable member of the board. He is now a resident of Indian Mountain and spends his time working on his own home, serving his church, and serving on the board of the JCFPD. Bob Bridgewater, Second Vice President Bio to be Added Ken Coffey, Secretary Ken Coffey joined the Board to replace Bob Einarsen when he resigned. Ken was previously employed by JCFPD as a Firefighter and Maintenance worker. He worked for the District for several years and has a great understanding of the District, the equipment, training and all processes of the District. Ken is a great addition to the Board. Elizabeth McKay, Treasurer Photo to be added. Elizabeth McKay replaced her husband, Doc McKay, on the Board after his passing. Liz has previous Special District experience having served on the Indian Mountain Recreation and Park District as Treasurer for a few months. Previously in her career Liz served as Director of Finance for Irving Financial Corporation and worked as a bookkeeper for a few years. Liz has many years of proximity to fire related issues from living with her husband who was a career firefighter among other positions that he held.
